Happy Birthday, Shelby!

Here is the birthday girl, Shelby Shotwell, and her beautiful cake her mom sent her.
Liz, my Vietnamese friend, is so cute!
This is how we party...dorm room style!
Liz, Shelby, and my roommate Kendra enjoy the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Ooh, and a raspberry filling! I wouldn't have it any other way.

Christmas: A Time for Families

As a side note, I like to use my new camera (Nikon D200) that I got from my grandparents for graduation last year. I will be posting pictures just from my camera, and working on my photography skills while I share my life with you all. Enjoy!

My lovely Mom and Dad, about to embark for Mom's work Christmas party. Don't they look spiffy?
Lucy's jingle bell collar actually jingles when she walks! How cute!
Cousin Kelsi, Aunt Sherri, Cousin Doug.
This is my handsome brother Matthew and adorable sister Fiona, along with the pooches.
What is it? Hand soap! How exciting!
Even Grandpa loves the gifts he's getting. This is the yearly family calendar, filled with photos of family highlights throughout the year, such as my cousin Dave and his new wife Kate's wedding.
Santa Claus (aka Dad) hands out presents, with a little help from his elf, Lucy.
What could it be? Fiona wonders too, looking on with delight.
"I'll help you, Fiona. Just wait 'till I get out my Swiss Army Knife!"
This is my favorite one of my brother, Matthew.
Kelsi and Doug got homemade almond roca from the West children.
The cutest little present of them all...Lucy!
 Brother and sister
Mom is ecstatic with her new fancy scale!
I asked for a cookie sheet...so I can bake cookies while in the dorm! Thank you, Fiona!
And...Nana! With her lovely new apron.
Three generations: Nana, Mom, and me.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Christmas as much as I enjoyed it! Hoping you all had a wonderful Christmas with family, as well, and wishing you all the best New Year!

The Beginning

Hello friends! Let me just start off this blog by introducing myself. My name is Victoria West and I am a freshman at Walla Walla University. I am creating this blog because I think blogs are far more personal and fun-to-read than FaceBook. And so my lovely Fountainview friends can see what I am up to!
